Next, we visit an eco-farming area to see the local production of natural fertilizer and explore a herbs and spices garden, identifying tropical plants like ginger, clove, and cardamom used in traditional Indonesian medicine and cooking. We continue to a village to observe the traditional process of making brown sugar. If we're lucky, we may even see the liquid being collected from the sugar palm trees. Our final stop is a local home to watch the entire traditional tofu-making process. Throughout this approximately two-hour excursion, you'll enjoy a refreshing young coconut drink, freshly picked from the tree, before returning to the hotel. At 3:30 PM, we'll head to a local market to purchase ingredients for your cooking lesson.
