Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival - Tambolaka - Waikabubak (L, D)

Welcome to Lede Kalumbang Airport in Tambolaka, where our guide will greet you upon arrival. We'll start with lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Waikabubak City. Our city tour includes visits to the nearby villages of Tarung, explore beyond the residential use, certain houses in these villages also serve as repositories for artifacts connected to the Marapu people's beliefs, providing a glimpse into their spiritual heritage. Next, Praijing Megalithic Village, a source of local pride for decades, welcomes visitors with 38 traditional "big houses" (Uma Mbatangu or Uma Bokulu). These iconic structures are the village's main draw. Lush trees and bushes surround the area, creating a comfortable and pleasant environment. Arrive at your hotel in Waikabubak, rest of the day at leisure and overnight.

Day 2 | Waiwuang Village - Waigali Village - Lapopu Waterfall - Watubela Beach (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we'll head to the Wanokaka and Lamboya districts. Our first stops are Waiwuang and Waigali villages, both perched on hills. Here, you'll see traditional Sumba houses with their iconic high-pitched thatched roofs, as well as ancient stone graves at the entrances—all honoring their ancestors. You’ll have a chance to explore the unique architecture and learn how it reflects their spiritual beliefs. Next, we'll visit Lapopu Waterfall for a refreshing swim and a bit of light trekking through the beautiful landscape. We'll have lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Watubela Beach, a hidden gem known for its pristine white sand and large, exotic rock formations. It’s the perfect spot to relax, take in the stunning scenery, and snap some incredible photos. Back to your hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 3 | Waikacura Waterfall - Ratenggaro - Pero - Mandorak - Weekuri Lagoon (B, L, D)

After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we'll drive to Waikacura Waterfall. This beautiful waterfall is surrounded by rice fields, offering a perfect spot for a refreshing swim or a walk along the nearby trails. Next, we'll explore the Kodi area and visit the famous Ratenggaro Village. You'll get to experience the daily life and customs of the local people and see their unique houses with towering thatched roofs, which are a hallmark of their rich cultural heritage. For lunch, we'll head to Pero Beach to enjoy a fresh seafood meal. Afterward, you'll have time to relax on the soft white sands of Mandorak Beach, listening to the waves or taking a quick dip in the sea. Our final stop is the stunning Weekuri Lagoon, where you can swim in its tranquil waters. Finally, we'll check in at the Sima Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 | Tambolaka - Departure (B)

Take your time and enjoy your breakfast, until the tour guide arrive at your hotel to escort back to the airport. Flight depart Sumba - end of services.
